Great Wines at Amazing Prices

Many of our wines are offered at or just over state minimum prices. We have more than a dozen choices under $25 dollars and some of our premium bottles are priced up to 30% under the same bottle at similar style restaurants. For nearly 50 years, the Top has become known for being a great value for steaks and chops, our wine list follows the same value driven guidelines. Step back in time and live it up like Frank, Dean and Sammy at Columbus' Finest Steakhouse.

Wines By The Glass

Wines by the GlassThe wine list at the Top is a constant work in progress, focusing on big red wines that go well with our char-broiled steaks. We feature 10-15 glass pours of red wine itself, including multiple tiers of Merlots and Cabernets along with all of your other favorite varietals such as, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, and even a Malbec and a Sangiovese. Our white glass pours include multiple Chardonnays, Sauvignon Blancs, and Pinot Grigios. We also pour a Reisling and a Blush for those who favor lighter, sweeter wines. Our glass pours offer a pleasant mix of world-renowned wineries such as, Kendall-Jackson, Penfolds, and adventurous boutique wines like Monte Antico Toscano and McManis Family Vineyards. While we rotate our glass pours regularly, certain favorites have become staples; the elegant Jordan Chardonnay and the Simi Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon are just two. Glass prices range from $5 to $12 and suggestions of your personal favorites are always welcome.

Sparkling Wines

Sparkling WinesOur bubblies range from moderately priced California favorites to the most famous of the French Houses of Champagne, Veuve Clicquot and Moet and Chandon's all time classic Dom Perignon, for those special occasions. We even managed to acquire Sofia Coppola's Blanc de Blanc in a split-sized glass-lined can; guaranteed to be the next big thing in chic Champagne drinking.

White Wines

Being a steakhouse our list leans heavily toward red wines, but that does not mean we do not have available some great whites from around the world. Highlights include the popular Sonoma Cutrer "Les Pierres" Chardonnay, a Pouilly Fuisse from renowned maker Louis Jadot, and the obscure but fabulous Chateau Carbonnieux. Try one the next time you come in for our giant cold-water Lobster Tail or Crab Legs.

Red Wines

Our reds by the bottle focus on younger California Cabernets and Blends. All of your favorites are here, including Caymus, Silver Oak and, my personal favorite, Jordan Cabernet Sauvignon. A recent addition is the Niebaum-Coppola flagship Bordeaux style Rubicon (at a great price!!). There are numerous choices for the bargain hunter as well, Liberty School Cabernet $26, or Markham Cabernet $33!! We also feature Merlots, Pinot Noirs and other well-chosen American Reds at a variety of price points.

Reds Around The World

While focusing on American wines our list of international wines is representative of the finest in old world styles from France and Italy. French options include wines from the Rhone, Haut Medoc and Bordeaux regions, including a first growth from St Emilion at only $32. We feature some of the finest from Italy highlighted by the 1998 Brunello di Montalcino from Casa Delle Cerbaie, a Wine Spectator Top 100 selection. We have several Shiraz from Australia, the hottest grape going right now, and a Malbec, which is the next big thing hailing from Argentina.

After Dinner

After Dinner Wines and LiquorAt the Top, we provide a fine collection of the world's greatest and well-known Single Malt Scotches and Bourbons, names like Macallan, Glenmorangie, and Woodford Reserve, along with Johnny Walker, both Blue and Gold premium, just to name a few. Try these with one of our world-class cigars from our cigar list. Our Cognacs include Couvoisier, Remy Martin VSOP, Remy XO and the King of them all LOUIS XIII. Cockburns Tawny highlights our Port selection. The Top is famous for Coffee drinks. Lee Pease has been frothing up the Cappucino here for over twenty years. Customers come from miles around to try our world famous blend of liquors added to the homemade coffee blend. The Top version of Keoke and Irish Coffee is the same recipe we have used for nearly 50 years!! A newer after dinner option is the Tiramisu Milk Shake a blend of ice cream and liquors which is quickly becoming a sensation among our regulars and others, including the staff who have sampled it.
